Aplomia is built around a simple rule: your money questions should not turn you into a lead, an ad target, or a product sale.

This policy explains what we collect, what we do not collect, how we use data, and how you can request deletion.

The short version

  • You can use Aplomia tools without creating an account.
  • We do not ask for your Social Security number, bank account, routing number, financial account login, full name, mailing address, or phone number.
  • If you choose to provide your email, we use it to send your result, saved summary, reminder, product update, or related Aplomia content.
  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not share your data with data brokers, advertisers, lead buyers, or marketers.
  • We do not use ads, affiliate links, paid product placements, or hidden product steering.
  • You can request deletion of data tied to your email at any time.

What we collect

Tool inputs and outputs

When you use an Aplomia tool, we may store:

  • the values you enter
  • the result we calculate
  • the tool you used
  • the date and time of the session
  • related session activity needed to operate the tool

This data is tied to a session token stored in an HTTP-only cookie.

The session token is a random identifier. It is not designed to identify you directly, but it allows Aplomia to connect activity within the same browser session so your tools and results work properly.

Anonymous tool sessions are deleted after 90 days.

Email, if you provide it

If you submit your email, we store it with the relevant result, saved summary, reminder, or session.

We use your email to send:

  • the result or summary you requested
  • reminders you choose to receive
  • product updates
  • occasional educational content related to Aplomia

You can unsubscribe from non-transactional emails in one click.

Site analytics

We use analytics to understand which tools and pages people use, where users encounter friction, and how Aplomia can improve.

Analytics may include:

  • pages viewed
  • tools used
  • buttons clicked
  • referring pages or search sources
  • browser, device, and approximate location data
  • session activity across visits

Analytics are not tied to your name because we do not ask for your name.

If you provide your email, we may associate analytics activity with that email so we can understand your Aplomia journey across visits and provide a more useful experience.

What we do not collect

Aplomia does not ask for:

  • Social Security numbers
  • tax identification numbers
  • bank account numbers
  • routing numbers
  • financial institution usernames or passwords
  • credit card credentials for financial accounts
  • government-issued ID
  • full legal name
  • mailing address
  • phone number

Some tools may ask you to enter financial estimates, such as income, expenses, debt balances, interest rates, benefits costs, or savings targets. Enter only the information each tool asks for.

What we do not do with your data

Aplomia does not:

  • sell your data
  • sell leads
  • run ads
  • use affiliate links
  • accept paid product placements
  • share your data with data brokers
  • share your data with advertisers
  • share your data with marketers
  • allow third parties to use your data to build advertising profiles
  • change tool results based on sponsor, partner, advertiser, or product economics

Service providers

We use service providers to operate Aplomia.

These may include providers for:

  • website hosting
  • database storage
  • analytics
  • email delivery
  • security
  • error monitoring
  • customer support

These providers are allowed to process data only to help us operate, secure, and improve Aplomia. They are not allowed to use your data for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

Sponsored, employer, advisor, and partner access

Aplomia may be made available through employers, advisors, sponsors, nonprofits, libraries, credit unions, or other partner organizations.

If you access Aplomia through one of these channels:

  • your individual tool inputs remain private
  • your individual results remain private
  • the sponsor, employer, advisor, or partner does not receive your personal tool inputs unless you choose to share them
  • we may provide aggregated usage reporting, such as how many people used a tool or completed a workflow

Aggregated reporting is designed to show overall usage, not identify individual users.

If you ask a partner firm to follow up — for example by entering your email on that firm’s Aplomia page — we pass your email address to that firm so they can contact you. That request shares your email address and nothing else: your tool inputs and your results are not included. We do not sell that address, and we do not pass it to any other partner.

Cookies

Aplomia uses cookies and similar technologies to:

  • keep tools working during your session
  • remember anonymous sessions
  • support analytics
  • improve site performance
  • protect the site from abuse

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you clear your cookies, Aplomia may no longer be able to connect your browser to prior anonymous sessions.

How long we keep data

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose collected.

Current retention rules:

  • anonymous tool sessions are deleted after 90 days
  • email-linked results, summaries, and reminders are kept until you request deletion or unsubscribe where applicable
  • analytics data is kept for product improvement and may be deleted or aggregated over time
  • records required for security, compliance, dispute resolution, or system integrity may be retained as needed

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • delete data tied to your email
  • provide information about data tied to your email
  • correct data tied to your email
  • stop sending non-transactional emails
  • remove you from reminder or follow-up communications

Some privacy rights depend on where you live and whether a specific law applies to Aplomia. We will review and respond to requests based on applicable law and the information we can verify.

How to request deletion

Email privacy@aplomia.com from the email address you used with Aplomia.

We will confirm your request and delete data associated with that email within 30 days, unless we need to retain limited information for security, legal, or operational reasons.

If you have not provided an email, we may not be able to identify your anonymous session. Clearing your browser cookies will break the link between your browser and your anonymous session.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect the data we collect.

No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we design Aplomia to collect less data, avoid high-risk identifiers, and reduce unnecessary exposure.

Children's privacy

Aplomia is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date.

If a change meaningfully expands how we use email-linked data, we will also notify users who have provided an email address.
